Has anyone seen Hostel yet?
I rented it for tonight, some friends are coming over and we are going to watch it.
BUT!
From what I heard, it makes people feel like they will puke, and I have a huge phobia of puking, and I am extremely nervous right now.
What did you think of it, and would you reccomend someone who will pass out if he pukes see it? I seriously pass out from puking.
I just don't know what to do.

I might watch it one day, for the sake of understanding what drives Quentin Tarantino to make such nonsense garbage and to see just what would entice a script reader to allow it to leave his/her hands and to get into the hands of a studio executive.
If you find yourself in such a bind that you must sit there and watch with them, do what my ex used to do -- blur your eyes during graphic scenes. Unfocus on the TV even though it appears that your eyes are looking in that direction. Don't cover them or turn away if you don't want to appear afraid or squeamish. Just look off to the corner of the screen or adjust your focus so you are looking at the air two inches in front of your face.
If they're that into the movie, they won't notice you're not really watching. And if they aren't that into it, they've just given away their fear or uneasiness also.

I saw the trailer and there is no way I'd see this movie. I agree Shawn, I wonder what drives Q. Tarantino. Makes me ask what kind of sick, twisted childhood did he have? Couldn't have been a Disney one, that's for sure.
If you rented this movie for company, you're kinda stuck. I'd just dim the lights, put cotton in your ears and close your eyes. Of offer to make the drinks, snacks a lot. But then again, it's a horror movie, you all may not want to snack during it.
I read the message board for it at the Internet Movie Database site, a few weeks ago. Everyone was pretty much saying it's a very graphic film. Not intended for children or those weak of heart (or stomache as in your case).

What a waste of 90 minutes. Smart choice you made not seeing it.
Basically, it's soft-core stuff for someone with a torture fetish. Some sex, mostly gratuituous torture. Lots of blood, gory sound effects, screams, and tools...way too many tools. Only thing I got out of it was the underlying patriotic message -- Americans don't take too kindly to being messed with.

Didn't Quinton make that movie of Vampires in a Mexican bar. Where the family in the motor home picked him and his brother up and take them to the bar with vampires. That was horrible. George Clooney starred as his brother.
I have not heard of this movie or what it is about. What part did you hear of that would make you puke?

All Tarantino's films are brilliant... They do have graphic things in them,but that's why they carry a rating. I am looking forward to seeing Hostel even though Tarantino didn't have much input into the making as he was just assisting. Apparently there are a lot of stupid cliche traps that people fall into,which will bring the movie down.
