Attacked

#1 Postby Janice » Fri May 12, 2006 11:34 am

Have you ever been attacked by an animal and have a scar to prove it?

The worse for me is a body of cat scratches. Just minor, regular scratches, no real scars. Maybe when I was small, I may have been nipped by a dog, can't remember tho.

I have a little tiny scar on a finger where my dog bit me when I was a kid. Not the dogs fault - I was trying to take a bone away from her, my mother told me"stop it or you will get bit" and I did. Not really bit on purpose, my finger just got in the way of her chewing

My daughter was in a neighbors yard holding our cat. A dog from an adjoining neighborhood (who was always getting loose) tried to get the cat but ended up nipping my daughters arm. Since the dog didn't have on a collar I took her to the ER. They had to call animal control because it was a dog bite. The AC person was taking down the info about the dog and i mentioned i knew the dogs name...Maddie. The AC person looked up at me and rolled her eyes...they knew about her and had picked her up several times. Luckily all Maddie's shots were up to date. Do you know though that the AC wanted to pick my cat up because we weren't in our yard? I told them they had to be kidding...my daughter was holding the cat and it wasn't like she was running loose (even though she does!).

I have been bit by spiders, but I don't think I ever got infections, etc. from it. I must have a good immune system... :cheesy:

I got dive-bombed by a bird while hiking. It was not happy that I'd come around and tried to smack me in the head several times.

Other than that, no, unless a playful dog biting my upper arm counts.

On one of my excursions on the Caribbean side of MX, A giant macaw bird grabbed ahold of the skin on my arm and tugged and tugged and tugged....he was attracted to my jewelry...an audienced formed, and I smacked him on the beak and said "Bad bird'...the bird won, and I have the scar to prove it...and we had an audience....

I have a scar on my leg from a dog that bit me while I was riding my bike. It bit me for no reason too and I'm still mad about it! :grr:

Funny story....

I was probably about 4 or 5 but, i remember it like it was yesterday. We were on vacation and happend to see a fish hatchery. I was with my mom, dad, little brother, dog, aunt and uncle. Well we were walking along and for some reason the dog got away from my dad. Well he started running around the hatchery and when he ran by me he knocked me into one of the tanks where there were lots and lots of fish and my dog fell in also. My dad was on the other side of the tank and luckily I was near my uncle. My uncle hung over the edge and pulled up up and out. I had fish bite marks all over my body... I thiink ever since then I had a phobia for water but, I always go swimming even at the beach but, in the back of my mind I always look for fish that may take a bite out of me.
