What is one show that has gone off the air that you would like to be brought back? They may be showing reruns, but bring it back with a new cast.
Me... Dallas and put these stars in..
Sam Elliott... the father
Patty Duke.... the mother
And JR and the other kids could consist of all new people.
Jake Gyllenhaal... he would definately do for the younger brother
Emmy Rossum... as his wife
Alex Baldwin... as JR
Jane Seymour ... as JR's wife

I was a major Dallas fan. It's only my #2 favorite show of all time!
That said, I love it just the way it was. I'm not even excited about the big screen movie coming out. When I think of Dallas, I just simply think of Larry Hagman, Patrick Duffy, Barbara Bel Geddes, Victoria Principal and Linda Grey. They ~were~ Dallas, IMHO.
What always impresses me is the Dallas storyline concept. As old as time, rich vs poor, good vs evil, right side vs wrong side of the tracks. The show literally came out of nowhere and eventually became a major hit. Re-inventing cliff hangers along the way too.

Patty Duke, heck yeah!!
I don't think I could go for a new cast in any old show that I liked or want brought back, unless maybe CHiPs.
But as far as old shows being brought back in reruns, I'll take the Facts Of Life anyday they decide to roll out the skates for Tootie again and rev up Jo's bike. Definitely no new cast...just the old classic episodes from the original. No one could replace Lisa Whelchel as Blair!

Duckie - you have Patty Duke radar!!! LOL Whenever someone mentions her, you instantly know! How do you do that.....he he.
I would love to watch old shows such as My Three Sons and 8 is Enough. We have a limited Satellie Tier so they could be airing on Hallmark, a channel that we no longer have w/o cable.
A perfectly good cold winter or rainy day would be to watch old shows like these, have control of the remote and lose myself in simpler times. Just for one day.
Then I'd go back to 2006!

That's why i picked Mad About You. Have it recast with different actors to reflect the later phases of their life. Can you imagine a menopausal Jamie?
