Any smokers out there?

#1 Postby conestogo_flood » Mon Jun 05, 2006 10:44 pm

Okay, I know this is HIGHLY a dumb topic, but I'd like to compare brands and prices with everyone.

Yes, I do smoke.

Anyways, what brand of cigarettes do you smoke or prefer? How much does it cost? I heard in the USA smokes are dirt cheap.

I smoke Peter Jackson King Regular, $7.70 a pack, for 25.

Every now and then I like to "indulge" myself, if you may, with menthols. Usually Benson and Hodges Menthol 100s at $9.15, or Craven Menthol King Regular at $8.86.

Maverick menthol 100's $24.95 a carton. I never bought cigs by the pack so I don't know the price. I've tried every method known to man to quit. I smoked cigs made out of lettuce for a month (nasty smelly things) once trying to quit. I will never ever try to quit again after the last withdrawal I suffered.

Winston Light 100's, $24.99/carton BUT...

I quit smoking on April 24th, or about six weeks ago. I've already saved $300, or enough money for a trip to New Orleans. :D

$3/$4 a pack?!?!

The cheapest you can buy here that I know of, are Canadians or McDonalds at $4.99 a pack. But, they taste like crap.

There is a new law year-began June 1, 2006-that makes smoking illegal in all areas but your property and designated smoking areas at school and work. It's a stupid law, everyone is still smoking where-ever they want though.

I can get a 3 pack special at the Hess Station (Marlboro Ultra Lights is my brand) for $9.12. The 5-pack special is a little cheaper.

The 3-Pack special usually lasts me a week. My brother gets cartons for about $26.00 including tax.

Marlboro light 100's - between $4.50 and $5 a pack depending on where you buy them. When I go to my daughter's in Roanoke, Va. I usually stock up cause they're half the price of Pa. I need to move South or stop smoking.

How can you complain about the price of gas when you willingly pay $3.00 and up per pack of cigarettes for the opportunity to kill yourself?

 Anytime I hear anybody complain about their dire finances, I ask if they smoke. If they say yes, I don't feel the least bit sorry for them. Of course, if you have the money to smoke and don't care about killing yourself, I say go nuts.
