How Many Times

#1 Postby Janice » Sat Jun 10, 2006 6:21 pm

How many times have you been pulled over by a cop. This includes necking in the car and getting caught by a cop...

Once, while cycling to school I ignored a red traffic light (I swear, I was the only one on the road, so stopping would haven been quite useless ) and I didn't notice this cop standing on the other side of the road. He pulled me over and he gave me a €60 fine. :grr:

Do you mean necking in the car with a cop????? Sorry, I had to ask.

Three times, I think. Twice for speeding (one ticket, one warning) and once because my license plate was missing - I had gotten stuck in a snowdrift and it popped of - it WAS in my trunk, but the officer didn't think that was good enough 8-)

HMMMMM?????? I think it is like 4 times for various traffic offenses since I became an adult.

Now as an teen I was never pulled over for a traffic offense, but was questioned several times as to whether I/we were in possession of alcohol. Pleading the fifth-it did help that one time we were "talked to" that the deputies daughter was with us.hehehe

Let's seeeeeee.... probably half a dozen in all my years... the most memorable being when I was a nutty youngster coming back to La. from Orlando... riding on I-10 I saw this car in the rearview mirror gaining on me... I didn't like to be passed up, so I floored it (Had 2 4 barrels, Isky cam, and 426 hp... yup speed nut).. left 'em behind. Slowed down... saw 'em again a few minutes later... lost 'em again. This went on for about 100 mi, and around the Pensacola area I decided to pull over at a Stuckey's for a snack (sure as heck should'a gone on over the state line!)... this blue unmarked car flies past me, this enraged trooper gets out and starts screaming at me for goin' 50 mph OVER the limit!... I almost thought I'd wind up in the slammer, but all I had to do was follow him back about 80 mi. to some town... I dunno what it was (way too many years ago)... and simply paid a "justice" $100. And drove back home... I tried to "temper" my leadfoot after that. :)

I can't count that high. Like george_r, in my younger years the local cops and I spent a lot of quality time together.

Probably half a dozen since I first got my license..many moons ago. I think my worst was when I got 2 speeding tickets in one day  But then... I had just had my mustang convertable for about a week. HAD to see what the car could do didnt I? :D. Think the most irritating ticket was my last one. Although I am a firm believer in seat belts, I forgot to put mine on. Was getting on the typical SO. Calif freeway that was crawling at about 2 miles an hour and got pulled over for not wearing it. Umm just how much am I going to get hurt traveling at 2 miles an hour?? The cop obviously had been one ticket shy of meeting his daily quota LOL

BTDT too... and it was less than 3 blocks from my house, going to a drugstore. I was FURIOUS. Look I believe in seat belts emphatically; but don't you think this sort of thing should be enforced where the speed limit is a little higher than 25 mph? :grrr:

Ya know, that name sounds eerily familiar. Could very well be the place. Thanks for the---uh---reminder.

A few times for traffic violations. I've never been pulled over for necking. I always stopped and parked the car.

Twice for me. My oldest son gets pulled over many times by police because they do not beleive he is old enough to drive. He is a small guy, about 5'2" and about 95 lbs. The way he sits in the car, he is hidden by the door post and you think the car is without a driver. They pull him over to check out the car, they say it resembles a stolen car . The cops have pulled him over so many times since he got his license, it is unbelieveable. Everytime a new cop comes on the job, he gets pulled over until the cop learns who he is.

Three times, all for speeding. The first time I got driving school, the second time I was let go with a warning, and the third, I got ticketed.
