Ken Lay dead

#1 Postby GalvestonDuck » Wed Jul 05, 2006 9:07 am

ABC KTRK-13 in Houston just reporting that former Enron CEO Ken Lay has died in Aspen.

Edit - KHOU and Fox News reporting that cause of death was a heart attack.

Let's have a little compassion here for his family, regardless of what the man did, good gosh. I've seen nicer posts when a family pet dies. And a word of warning...i'll lock this thread quicker than a fly landing on honey if it gets anywhere near political.

This is not getting political...I just sat back and thought of what this guy has done..I just have no remorse for him..Sorry if I just have more compassion for his victims.

Well, the family has really suffered through all of this. I am sure the pressure of going to prison really affected his health since he knew he would never get out. I hope this puts some closure to the families suffering over all this and they can go on with some sort of life and remember Ken for the great things he did for his family.

It's not political to bash Ken Lay. He's not a politician. He's a corporate thug who stole billions of dollars.

The man has done no good on this earth. He is a symbol of avarice and greed run amok.

He dies of a heart attack while on vacation awaiting sentencing?

Seems a bit too coincidential.

Since he had ties to certain politicians, I'm with CM on this one. But so far, no one has gone there.

As for as him doing "no good on this earth," I guess you'd need to read about his past to know a little more about him. However, I agree with you about him in the end -- greed personified. Kevin Spacey even said he modeled his portrayal of Lex Luthor after Ken Lay.

Nevertheless, my thoughts and prayers are with his family. I hope they find peace.

She didnt say it was political.. She was just saying to not let it get political.

He was a bad bad man who ruined many many lives.. Still feel for his family though obviously.
