I'm not sure, but I'm glad that Italy beated France's @@@. Did you see how France's Team Captain Head Butted the other Italian player in the stomach?

There is only so much provocation one man can take. Something was clearly said and while his reaction was extreme....probably understandable against the cheating diving Italians. They will always be masters of verbal and physical intimidation.

Zidane was still player of the tournament....it is just sad to see him leave in this way.

I know very little about soccer. What is diving? Is it bad?

I'm a red blooded, hamburger eatin, muscle car lovin american. I don't have much time for these sissy european sports. Opps, gotta go check the tour-de-france coverage......

Congratulations on the $50, Josephine!

For real! Those wusses, "oh I'm hurt, I'm hurt", such theatrics! My apologies to any members from Italy, but I really would have preferred almost anyone else to win. :(

Don't worry, I feel exactly the same about American sports as you do with sports we play here. American football is the worst one of all with all the pads and the stopping every two seconds.

LOL.. I have to honestly say 1 thing.. American athletes will play with broken limbs.. These guys probably get cramps and decide to put on a display like they got a broken ankle or something.

Yes I know cramps hurt.. But there is no need to act like a sissy or what not.. walk it off.. and move on..

Yarrah, and P.K. I apologize for not writing clearly.

I am a huge cycling fan and I respect the World cup. soccer is probably THE most demanding sport.

It was my clumsy attempt to be funny. Sorry if it caused any unnecessary rise in your blood pressure.

I just wish I understood more about soccer. I dated a guy from Milan, and excitedly told him I watched my first soccer game on TV. He asked me about the formation. I didn't know there WAS a formation
