Contact lens
I have dry eyes, and found when wearing my contact lens I was getting headaches. So, I just stopped wearing them. This morning my eye doctor suggested I try the new contact lens by Acuvue, called Oasys. They are supposed to be great for people with dry eyes or live in dry environments. My trial pair will come in next week. I REALLY want to have Lasik, but just can't seem to justify 2K right now. So I will give this a try.
Does anyone where Oasys? If so, what has your experience with them been?

I had a bit of a problem with my eyes getting dry, and my doctor recently switched me to Optix 2 by Ciba Vision. They feel great! I'm sorry I don't have any input on the ones you're going to try, but if they don't work for you, I figured I'd let you know about Optix 2 and you can ask your doctor about them.
Here's a link with a few symptoms on who they're good for. It's brief.

I have kinda wanted to have Lasik too, but I'm scared, not to mention it's expensive. With my luck, my eyes would get worse after having it. I did think it was a lot more than $2000 though.

Well you do at first.Took me FOREVER to get used to putting them in. You should have seen my daughter when she first got hers. I should have videotaped it.
Linda - reminds me of when a very close friend/relative and I went shopping years ago. Her optometrist was located in the mall. He suggested contacts (this was the early 80s). She thought, okay I'll get my contacts, put away my glasses and we'll shop. Well, let me just say she couldn't even walk out of his store! She was stumbling around, and holding onto ME. We started laughing and her eyes were already watering something terrible. She had tears or whatever rolling down her cheeks, from laughing and from irritation. The opt. watched this scene and shook his head. She laughed and said - Lord, how am I ever going to drive, work, etc.? I kept thinking - it's a darn good thing I don't need glasses! I think at some point the opt. told her to take them out, dry her eyes, she looked as if she'd be crying for hours and try again, at home. Somehow we had lunch and managed to shop some. Laughing many times thru out the day. She was my ex-husband's SIL, we became as close as sisters, since we married brothers. After my divorce, I had to pretty much say goodbye, which broke my heart. A year or so ago, we started emailing again and right away, she asked early on - hey, remember when you were having to walk me around the mall with my brand new contacts? It was pretty funny!
She eventually got the hang of them.

I had so much trouble getting mine in and out in the beginning that it's amazing I can still see.

Anything Acuvue puts out Rocks. I was going to switch to those but I changed my solution first. It works good. Actually, Lindaloo, my husband wears gas-permeable lenses which are fairly rigid! They are totally perfect for him.
I wore hard lenses beginning back in 1967, switched to soft lenses when they first became available, constantly ripped /tore them, and then couldn't tolerate them when I became pregnant in 1979. By the time I was ready to try contact lenses again, I needed bifocals, and contact lenses to correct that problem weren't as sophisticated as they are today. The long and the short of it is that I've worn glasses since 1979 and will probably continue to do so indefinitely. Several of my (middle-aged) friends wear bifocal contact lenses or have had lasik surgery but still have to wear reading glasses, so I figure, what's the point?!

But yeah, there is a learning curve to putting them in and taking them out!
