Because members of terrorist orgs like Hezbolla tend to use such vehicles to hide in. They also set up their evil little nests in neighborhoods of regular residents and in mosques to protect their own skins at the cost of innocent blood.

My dad said he was watching one of the news agencies yesterday, and the reporter showed a disturbing scence...they showed a U.N. Flag and a Hezbollah flag flying side-by-side in Lebanon, it was at the U.N.'s headquarters there...

I'm sorry, but in the world of news, hearsay isn't going to count as verified, even though its sure to cause a stir.

i feel its time to side squarely with israel. i look at it like this. if the muslim butchers announced today they were laying down their arms and wanted to live in peace with israel, the violence would end. israel would embrace them in peace.

however, if israel announced today it would no longer defend itself and layed down its weapons the jews in israel would be slaughtered.

israel seeks peace, the butchers dont. thats how i see it.

Jen is right. Just ask any of our soldiers who have been in Iraq and/or Afghanistan. They will tell you it's so....

Unfortunately there is no way of telling if Red Cross Vehicles are carrying terrorists or wounded. The red cross symbol has been abused ever since the very beginning and this is unfortunate.

What one has to wonder is why Israel would attack a convoy of Red Cross vehicles if they believed at all that these might be civilians. Since Israel would have much to lose and little to gain, I doubt they did it intentionally. However in war sometimes mistakes happen, and sometimes crimes are committed. I think any jump to the gun conclusion either way isn't rational.

I certainly hope any attack on a Red Cross vehicle is an accident. Attacking a vehicle bearing a symbol associated with the International Federation of the Red Cross is a war crime.

Also, using the symbols when you're not an actual Red Cross approved official is also a war crime. However, these people must be CAUGHT, not fired upon.

Israel has the moral high ground and it's important they keep it. Let the enemy violate the laws of war if they wish, but don't stoop to their level.

Of corse it was a accident...Even though a red cross ambulance may have have been damaged or even desroyed does not mean it was the target...It could of just been at the wrong place at the wrong time..
