Feels like fall today!

#1 Postby azsnowman » Thu Aug 10, 2006 5:40 pm

OK.....here I thought I was the ONLY one thinking that it feels like fall today. I was sitting eating lunch watching TWC Local on the 8's for the radar, we have HUGE storms over and near us (what the heck am I doing online anyways?) and even THEY said in the NorthEast that it feels like fall.

It's weird I know but it REALLY does, I'm in the LOW 60's right now with rain and a STIFF breeze, anyone else experiencing an EARLY Autumn?

I have no AC in my 77 Dodge Station Wagon. I almost passed out from the heat waiting to get through the drive in banking. I've drunk five glasses of iced tea and I'm still thirsty. Enjoy the cool weather for me.

Could be a brief taste of fall here on Saturday in central NC with highs just staying in the 70s. :D

And it's early August?

What Fall? We are still having summer here in Lakeland It is now 77 at 9:46 pm after a big thunderstorm and rain from 6:00 pm. The humidity in the air is almost 100 % everyday and it can make even the stiffest starched shirt wilt in a few minutes.

It actually sorta felt like Fall today. 67 this morning and 83 this afternoon. 8-) Downright chilly compared to the roughly 74/97 we've averaged for the last 2 months... it was also pretty dark and dreary most of the day, like it is during the winter.

Not going to last long though, but at least the upper 90's won't be back(hopefully for the rest of the summer)

Bfez1, I think I have you beat, it is 96 degrees here. When I come in off crossing duty, I stand in front of a fan until I feel human and then I go wipe my face with a cold wash cloth rinsed in Ice water.

Well.......I hate to rub it in BUT, I wore a LONG sleeved tshirt to work today but then again, the dispatchers are going thru minipause right now and the A/C in the station is set to about 50° , talk about C/PMS SHeeeesh! I called in a license check and a warrants check and it was like "Exccccuuuuuuuse ME!" :ggreen:

Serioulsy, night time temps are NOW in the MID 40's and HIGHS are in the UPPER 60's with a N-NE breeze making it for autumn like conditions and as God as witness...I kicked the furnace on for about 5 minutes this morning just to take the "little chill" off
