Candles

#1 Postby sunny » Tue Aug 15, 2006 12:26 pm

How many candle lovers do we have here? I love my candles :D A friend gave me a Trapp candle for my birthday. They are expensive but the burning time makes them worth it. What's more is when I walk in my front door I can smell the fragrance from burning it the night before!

My mother buys a Yankee candle every now and then...light them and take in their aroma mainly for when we're expecting company. :)

I love Yankee Candles!! By far my favorite candle! I have also just bought a candle warmer, where you put the candle on a warming plate, and it melts the candle... you never burn the candle, and it makes the candle last like 3 times longer than burning it!! Works great, I got mine at WalMart for like 5.00... One of my best investments!!

Linda and Yankeegirl - can you use the candle warmers with candles in glass containers?

I've not heard of Yankee Candles before - might have to give them a try! I LOVE my candles, have them all over the place :D

Yeah, all of my candles are in glass containers... the candle warmer even works good for the glade ones too... any kind... As far as Yankee Candles go, you can get them at most Hallmark stores, or stores like that... they are about 21.00 for the large size candles. but they last forever! I have found that I will burn one of those glade candles, and resuse the glass container, I will get some of those Yankee votives, much cheaper than a far candle, pop it in the empty glass container and it melts.. and thats it! the votives are about 1.50 a piece...

Wow - thanks! I'm going to have to get a couple of the warmers :D

Those are the same prices as the Trapp candles. I'm in Hallmark quite a lot, I wonder why I've never notice the Yankee Candles.

I love candles. But now I am using the Yankee tarts. They smell wonderful.
Love em and they comfort me. I bought mine at BB&B.

I buy scented candles by the dozens, and I'm always burning incents(sp?) all the time.

ROFL - bad topic! I have at least 36 jar candles sitting in boxes in my kitchen right now because I sell them at the local craft fairs - busy season (with Christmas coming) is just starting up. I started out because I love candles and I wanted the company discount, and now I am selling them.
