The Bathtub Test

The Bathtub Test

It doesn't hurt to take a hard look at yourself from time to time, and this should help get you started. During a visit to the mental asylum, a visitor asked the Director what the criterion was which defined whether or not a patient should be institutionalized.

"Well," said the Director, "we fill up a bathtub, then we offer a teaspoon, a teacup and a bucket to the patient and ask him or her to empty the bathtub."

"Oh, I understand," said the visitor. "A normal person would use the bucket because it's bigger than the spoon or the teacup."

"No." said the Director, "A normal person would pull the plug. Do you want a bed near the window?"

Did you pass, or would you like the bed near mine?

I would take the teaspoon and fill the teacup and then use the filled teacup to fill the bucket. All the while I would have bubbles in the bath, candles burning and some beautiful Rachmanoff playing in the background!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!ROTFLMAO
Wonderful stress reliever!!!!

I'll take the bed in the padded room please!!!!

I thought that since it wasn't my bathtub I'd just jump in it first to empty the water the fastest.

Does the padded cell have a bathroom in it?? I forgot to say I'd be drinking some chardonnay while bathing so ------ I'll need a bathroom in my cell.

Good point Karan - hey, if there aren't any individual bathrooms in mental asylums (the very word gives me the willies!), then I think I'd better never crack up!!!! LOL

Hey - does anyone else have One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, stuck in their head now? Nurse Ratchet, Nurse Ratchet - ewww, she was a nasty movie character.....lol.

Well... Let's say I live in the middle ages, and there's no plumbing for the bathtub! Then I would have to use the bucket!

...

Ok, I guess I'll take the 3rd bed on the left from dizzyfish.

I thought about pulling the plug. But then I thought, would that be cheating since they gave me tools with which to empty the tub and, thus, I'm expected to use one?
