PRAYER REQUEST- FRIEND IN CRITICAL CONDITION

#1 Postby conestogo_flood » Tue Aug 22, 2006 11:33 pm

Tuesday around 3am; my friends Alex, Travis and Adam; we involved in a serious car accident. Travis was driving, they were all drunk. It's very unfortunate and stupid and I am mad at them for not having any common sense. They were speeding, and lost control, slamming into a hydro pole crushing Alex in the passenger seat. Alex as of yet remains in critical condition, and the doctors think he might be paralyzed. He is only 21. Travis wasn't wearing a seat belt, and he hit his head off the wind shield. Travis is under house arrest, and was not supposed to be out, then he fled the scene of the accident and was arrested tonight. Adam, he was wearing his seat belt behind Travis in the back, he broke a few ribs.

I am really concerned about Alex, and though it is not my thing, but please pray for him. It was something really stupid to do, I know, but don't judge. Also, pray for his family and friends. I just hope he can walk again.

As of today, we found out that his legs are crushed, and it doesn't look like he'll ever walk again.

Sending prayers your way for your friends. That is terrible news about Alex but tell him not to give up. There is hope. My neighbor and friend was a terrible accident about two years ago. She almost died at the scene and when they stablized her they south flighted her to Mobile to USA. There the doctors said she would never walk again because her legs were crushed. When she came home she decided that she was going to prove the doctors wrong and now she is back to teaching and chasing her three year old son around the yard. Now I am not saying it wasn't a struggle because she had to have many surgeries. But there is hope.

Update:
Both his arms are broken
He has a broken collar bone
Cracked ribs
Slight internal bleeding somewhere in his abdominal cavity
His right leg is dead, so he is paralyzed on parts of his right side.
