#1 Postby JonathanBelles » Fri Sep 08, 2006 5:00 pm

i got home yesterday from UF and was sick. it rained half the time i was there. i forgot to take my eukanesia(sp) too.(herbal medicine that hasnt let me get sick for 2.5 years) now ive got a quesy stomach, a 100.1 headache, the shakes, runny nose, and dizzyness. its still raining. i only got on to check out the forum and check some news from NY. i might be back late at 11 if i'm copestetic.

Once the weather changes illnesses seem to crop up FAST. I have a friend at work that last weekend felt like a truck ran over her, backed up and did it again. She didn't have a cold or anything but was really achy and listless. It's probably just the beginning of SOMETHING floating around the office.

I have had a pretty bad cough and congestion all day today, but I have not had a fever. Probably just allergies...feels like something is in the air.

Why not try theraflu or something like that before going to the hospital? You've only been sick 2 days. I see so many people using the er as a regular doctors office and that's not what it should be used for. I've been fighting a cold/sinus for 1 1/2 weeks now and it's not much better. I've worked 9 hours a day at work, went to 2 football games....and i wonder why i'm not better!

i had a bad night. i went to bed at 11 and woke up at a little after 3:30 with a temperature of 103.2. i went to the hospital and the doctor checked me out and said it was the early stages of pnuemonia or the flu. he put me on a couple of medicines including one to lower the temperature, one to battle the flu or pnuemonia, and a stronger dose of eukanesia. i was suprised about the eukanesia. i told the doctor that i had been taking it and he immediatly upped the dose. ive still got a little dizzyness and some nasal blockage but the temperature has fallen to 99.9 and falling. im doing good.

at this hour i am lazy but doing much better. I had a soda earlier and i went to burp and it tickled my nose, and i went to blow out my nose to stop the tickle and a snot buble came out. lol  highlight to my day. im starting to be able to breathe through my nose and im not dizzy anymore. temp is normal. i did some homework and i plan on going on a 2 mile walk at 6 (normally a 2 mile run.)
i fully recomend that everyone take echinacea(spelled correctly) even if you are not sick. this is the first time ive been sick since ive taken echinacea. ive been taking it for 2.5 years now and i forgot to take it on thursday. (possible reason for sickness?)
Spring Valley makes it. I get the 250 capsuls bottle. and for anyone who doesnt like horsepills, dont take this.
ill update later

YAY glad you are feeling better! The fever woulda def. had you feeling sick...so I'm glad it's going down. I used to take that echinacea, but I stopped..but I should really re-start..next time I go to the drug store..i'd check it out.
I also did a 4.5 mile walk tonight after work! I did it in about 80 minutes. Not too shabby..considering some of it was uphill.

Keep getting better. Update us later.
