Eastern NC'ers...Is This An O.K. Idea?

Alright...lets see what you guys think of this...I was at the Salvation Army today here in Havelock and was flipping through an old magazine they had...I thought that it would be great to start a local one with local history and upcoming events...it would be published on the web once a month with the previous months events (local weather, local events, etc) and then would have a list of that months upcoming events...I can cover Havelock, as I live here...but other local areas (New Bern, Morehead City, Trenton, etc...) I can't as easily cover as I do not live in those areas/do not know when the events are...so my two questions would be
1) Does it sound like a good idea/if you were to see it, would you read it?
2) Can you help?

Yeah, if you have the time and really want to do it then go for it. I would check it out. Even though I live in New Bern( actually on the outskirts ), I really do not keep up with what is going on here, so I really wouldn't be of much help. But isn't there a magazine out already that covers the entire area?
