KISSIMMEE, Fla. -- A man died after his car collided with an Amtrak train in Osceola County on Thursday afternoon, officials said.

Officials closed Vine Street between Main and Michigan streets in the old part of downtown Kissimmee until the scene was cleared.

At about 3 p.m., the train started moving again.

Officials said the man was driving westbound on U.S. Highway 192 and the train was heading south toward Miami. The crash happened at about 1:10 p.m., and officials said the man appeared to be in his 50s.

None of the 148 passengers onboard were injured.

The train has continued on its journey toward Miami. The trip originated in New York City, and it was passing through Osceola County for a scheduled stop in Kissimmee.

See why you don't try beat the trains? We already had accidents like that on a Commuter rail between Dallas and Ft. Worth and the Dallas Area Light Rail system.
