S2k dead?
Wow what a difference one year makes, this forum is mighty quiet when the tropics are dead.

Its not dead by any means... just resting. Its not unusual for the board to be quiet when there is nothing going on in the tropics. Anyone remember last year where even logging on here was a challenge??
Many of our mods were affected by Katrina and Rita last year and by Ivan and other storms the year before. After 2 devastating seasons I do not think you will hear Lindaloo or Gulfbreezer, Bfez and Southerngale, and others whose names escape me at the moment, complain about the board OR the tropics being slow.
We have a USA weather forum here for non tropical US weather. There is always something newsworthy going on weatherwise in the US. Lots of great posts there. Our Winter Weather forum is there for u snow weenies. Hope on over to our Global Weather forum and read posts from our members in Europe and elsewhere. Check out our off topic forum for non weather related posts. There are other forums on this board too that are worth reading and heck you may even find yourself posting in them.
We are open year round 24 hours a day. Avail yourselves of all storm2k has to offer, including our chatroom. If you read all this without falling asleep thanks

Dang.......
I will nevah say RIP S2K! We just went thru a slow period. We need some wicked wx to bring us back to our busy, crazy days again. Who's with me? LOL
Mary

It's amazing that we've seen a couple of these posts in recent days. It's kind of like we're being spammed.

By all means we always go through slow periods, especially this time of the year before the winter starts to roll. Tropics are just about done for the year and in the Spring we begin with the severe weather and roll right into the Tropical season.

Not to start an argument, I've actually had people in chat tell me that. I remember once asking about our long range winter forecast, if it was out yet. And I forget who, but someone reprimanded me and said - this is a tropical message board and chat room. I didn't want to argue that day and I don't today, but I swear someone told me that. Ever since then, I've noticed a vibe that some view S2K as a tropical board. JMO, don't flame me!

WOW. The chatroom now is rarely ever about weather at all.
