High Heels

#1 Postby Lindaloo » Mon Dec 11, 2006 2:35 pm

How many of you girls wear them? After today, I'm not anymore. I bought a pair of ankle boots with the 2 inch heel. Mistake, HUGE mistake. It is a LONG way to the ground when you fall off of them.

I once thought nothing of wearing them all day at work, and probably most weekends as well. I'm so out of practice now I'd probably fall off 'em and bust something if tried!

In the 70's, I fell off 5" platforms!!!!! Almost broke my ankle. I loved them. They made me 5'7" and I was one happy (tall) lady!!!!!!

I think it would be even worse with boots. The boots would stabilize the ankle and you could break your leg or hip if you fall!!!!!!!

Give those suckers away.

I've sprained both ankles so many times that I never dared to wear high heels.
Now my knees are a mess, too, so the option is pretty much null and void.

  Oh that brings back memories of high school! Seemed like it was a daily occurrence of hearing a loud "CRACK!" and some girl moaning on the stairs over a broken platform shoe. Thanks for the memories!

I've had the pleasure of only having to wear "business casual" for years up until about a year ago. My job decided that Fridays were business dress - heels, slacks or skirts, suits, etc. Where I work now it's either business casual (but not too casual) or business dress. I've had to get used to wearing heels all over again. UGHHHH!!!!

Many years ago I broke the right foot and six months later tore the tendons in the left. Can't wear high heels without suffering a lot of pain.

I guess if I stayed out of the parking garages I might be okay. :P

No pics, but I did hop up quick and looked around to see if anybody took any.

Thank GOODNESS I do not have to wear them on my arms, I would be in bigger trouble. Broke both at one time, so I know how you feel.
