I Met Yankeegirl in Person Today!

What fun! Yankee sent a perfectly-timed PM just as I was ready to head for the couch this afternoon, and we met up at our local Barnes & Noble for a coffee and lots of chat. She's GREAT! She may be a yankee, but she's OK by me - felt almost like I was talking to myself. And don't let her try to tell you she has no yankee accent - HA! I drop all the "R's" in my southern speech and she picks 'em up for me.

Just wish I had more time to hang out with her longer as Yankee is a really fun person and very easy to talk to. Turns out we even share the same surgeon in addition to living in the same area of Houston, and being weather nuts to boot. How's that for a small world? I'm so very happy to have met a new friend, and one from S2K no less. Thanks for taking some time out for me today Lisa.

We Hou/Galv and maybe even Beaumont & LA S2K'rs really need to try for a group meeting some time. As long as margaritas are involved (well, I suppose coffee will work too) count me in!

Ha ha ha ha ha ... it was fun!!! I had a blast!! Definately need to make more of a habit of this hanging out and maybe throwing some margaritas in too!! Jen is awsone, and thanks for the Yankee comment!!! I love it!! Next time I will try and talk as southern as I can..!!
