I'm just wondering if anyone knows what to do to a super swollen tongue? I grinded my tongue against the tips of my pointy teeth when sleeping last night, so the edges are mad pain, then I accidentally drank boiling hot water straight from a kettle last Thursday. Also, I chewed a piece of gum last night for about 6 hours, and it made all the teeth on the side of my mouth ache, I can't eat anything hard or the pain is too hard to take.
Should I go see a doctor? Or if better, is there a remedy or drink to take that might help my tongue out.

Try drinking some aloe juice if you can find it at a health food store. Aloe has healing properties for many things. It will help cuts heal with a much smaller scar than it would be if let to heal with out the aloe treatment. It will keep a blister from forming on a burn if a leaf is broken open and rubbed on the burn as soon as possible

Yikes! That does sound very painful. I'd seek medical attention as well but in the meantime, you could try several things: gargling/swishing with warm water mixed with 1 teaspoon of table salt. Another good gargle is dirt cheap: half water and half peroxide. You hold this mixture wherever you have a blister (I tend to get them after the flu or a bad sore throat), for about 10 seconds, swishing it around and repeating until the glass is empty. Don't swallow this mixture though. I would be taking daily vitamins to speed healing and avoid citrus foods/drinks right now. And spicy foods. You want bland food right now - yogurt, cottage cheese, bananas, chicken soup, etc.
Hope you feel better.

If you were able to chew a piece of gum for SIX HOURS it can't be all that bad. I can't imagine drinking boiling water right out of the kettle by mistake. I would suggest taking 2 to 4 Ibuprophen every 4 hours for the pain in your teeth and jaws. Anbesol is an ointment that you can use for any type of sore in the mouth or tongue. If your tongue and mouth are that sore - give them a rest. Don't chew gum and eat soups (not scalding hot), ice cream and foods that you don't have to chew. Drink plenty of liquids and call me in the morning. Here's a ((HUG)) to make you feel better.

See your doctor first, then perhaps a dentist. A close friend of mine was under a great deal of stress and began grinding her teeth in her sleep and developed a "tic" where she continually rubbed the back of her teeth with her tounge during the day. It was driving her crazy and was creating pain. The doctor prescribed anti-anxiety medication and the dentist had her wear a specially fitted mouth piece at night. The problem has nearly been eliminated ( the teeth rubbing has beenthe hardest habit to break).
