I want to see their heads on a silver platter and DNA proof this time.

That would be a great coup if it is true!

Reports: Saddam Hussein's Sons Possibly Killed

POSTED: 11:29 a.m. EDT July 22, 2003
UPDATED: 11:44 a.m. EDT July 22, 2003

U.S. officials say they're investigating whether two of Saddam Hussein's sons are among the dead in a raid on a suspected hideout of high-ranking former Iraqi officials in the northern town of Mosul.

The raid sparked a shootout between members of the 101st Airborne Division and gunmen holed up inside.

Four Iraqis were killed in the raid on the house -- which later burned down.

The identities of the dead are not certain, but officials say they're trying to determine whether Saddam's elder sons, Odai and Qusai, are among the dead.

High-ranking Iraqi officials have been killed in the raid at the center of anti-American resistance in Iraq, according to broadcast reports.

U.S. military officials told CNN that four people were killed in the raid, and nobody was captured. The officials told CNN two of the dead may have been Odai and Qusai Hussein.

CNN, citing White House sources, reported the White House is "reasonably optimistic" Saddam's sons are dead.

According to The Associated Press, a firefight erupted when U.S. forces surrounded the home of a cousin of Saddam in Mosul. Residents said Saddam's sons were the target of the raid.

The raid was based on information that Saddam's sons were in the building.

They just said on MSNBC that there is an 80% chance they were killed.

The Dow was down earlier today...now it's up 52 points.

Go George!

While this could be excellent news, I would like to see Bin Laden and Saddam's head on a gold platter.

I hope they were taken alive so we can at least get some info on Saddam's whereabouts.

Well, I'm taking this info with a grain of salt. After the CIA debacle and the past confusion over whether or not Saddam was dead, it's hard to believe much of anything that comes out of Iraq. But if this proves to be true, party at my place!!!!

Heck, I'd accept 'em on a frisbee, a paper plate, or some old plank of wood that someone once used to board up their windows. As long as it was really...and finally...their heads.

It seems that there is confirmation that HooDay and HooRay are now in the past tense. Three of the four aces are now on the table.

This is very good news.

This is good news. Two less obstacles to contend with in Iraq. I haven't been home all day until now so thanks for the info.

I know our guys would never do it...because half the world would have a cow and start fussing about the Geneva Convention.

But wouldn't it be nice if we could see the bodies of those two being dragged through the streets and kicked and stomped on by the Iraqi people?

That's probably what most of the Iraqi's want, but...its our moral obligation to wean them off that barbaric mentality

Maybe we could just put out the word to Saddam that if he'd like his sons to have a proper burial, he can come pick up their bodies. He just needs to let our guys know when he'll be arriving. :)
