Dog burned alive in oven

#1 Postby JTD » Fri Jan 26, 2007 7:14 pm

The sentence here should be of the most severe nature. Disgusting! :grrr:

http://www.breitbart.com/news/2007/01/26/D8MT6K380.html

ATLANTA (AP) -- Two teenagers accused of duct-taping a puppy's snout and paws and cooking the animal alive in an oven pleaded guilty Friday to animal cruelty and other offenses.

Prosecutors said Joshua Moulder, 17, and his brother, Justin, 19, broke into a newly refurbished community center, where they tortured and killed the 3-month-old puppy, damaged computers, broke glass and splattered paint on the walls.

The brothers then brought neighborhood children to see the dead puppy and threatened to kill them if they reported it, prosecutors said.

They will be sentenced next month.

I am equally horrified and disgusted.

But I have to ask - what horror have these brothers witnessed, endured, been subjected to over the span of their young ages to torture an animal like this? If I were officials, I would be immediately looking into that family (not to get the brothers off easy) and possibly removing any children in the parents' care.

A teenager raised in a loving and kind home, would never do this.

It's getting to the point where I'm just not shocked at stories like this tragic one, as I used to be. Which is a sad observation to admit but they keep occuring and each new story/crime seems to top the last one.

:-(

They are lucky I did not catch them around. It would not have been very easy on the ears! :( I hope these young CRIMINALS get what they deserve. If there is felony animal abuse, convict them of it!

How disurbing. What a couple of young jerks! :red:     :red:

OMG, I wanted to cry just reading the title. How could anyone do this to a poor helpless puppy. I just don't know what else to say about that. I can't think about this too long or I'll be a babbling mess.

the report says they broke into the place

That alone is a felony, along with the damaging of the computers.

They have 2 sure fire felonies, and possibly a third for anamal cruelty. If it is only a misdemenor... give them the maximum 1 year for that as well (or however long the max sentence is), along with the max for the other 2 felonies and other misdemenors

Animal cruelty is usually results in a felony charge if there was malicious intent or torture.

This case was definitely malicious and with torture. The animal cruelty charge should definitely be felony.

Wonder if they are also bedwetters or pyromaniacs.

The McDonald Triad of serial killers -- zoosadism (animal cruelty), nocturnia (bedwetting), and pyromania (fire-starting).

someone who acts like that does not deserve to be respeted as a person.

I'd like to see a total sentence of at least 15 years
