Man tells court he has six kids on the way

Mar 12 02:07 PM US/Eastern

AVONDALE, Ohio, March 12 (UPI) -- An Avondale, Ohio, music producer convicted of attempted theft told the court he is the expectant father of six children -- with six different women.

Hamilton County (Ohio) Common Pleas Judge Melba Marsh asked Ricky Lackey, who was convicted of defrauding U.S. Bank out of $3,975 by depositing bad checks and inserting empty envelopes into automatic teller machines, how many children he had, and the 25-year-old responded: "None, but I have six on the way," the Cincinnati Enquirer reported Monday.

Lackey clarified before being silenced by his lawyer that the six children, due in August, September and October, are with six different mothers.

Fooling the ATM that he made a deposit, I suppose. This dude is an idiot.

And yet another low life from my city (Avondale is a suburb inside Cincinnati city limits)! This story has been all over the local news....sigh. What a total jerk, if you ask me!

Actually, you missed his quote, when the judge asked if he was marrying a woman with 6 children he said no, he "was concubining!".....I'll go see if I can find a local article.

If I was the judge I would ask him how would he be paying the child support for each child to the court to make sure the child's mother would get the money.I would also order him to get a vasectomy to prevent him from impregnating any more women. Society is getting tired of having to support the children of men like this.

Apparently he is going to be worth several million. He's been given $250,000 from a record company already.

Still that is no excuse to father so many children! I vote for vasectomy too.

I usually get money from the ATM, but I've never made a deposit with one. There's a night deposit where you can slip your envelope into a slot, but I didn't know you could make a deposit at the ATM.
I have everything direct deposited anyway.

This is an odd and funny story (the man's quotes). But what alarmed the judge and everyone is the real story - six women he has slept with are now pregnant with his six children and due August, September and October of this year!

And the year isn't even over yet....you watch, #7 might show up anyday.

Those poor kids though. That's what it comes down for me. He'll likely never live with any of these women and the kids will be raised in single parent households.
