I am at a loss. The show makes no sense anymore.

OK first of all... what was the deal with Michael Buble? He sucked(looked like he was drunk), and then he made that LAME Antonella joke. Was that supposed to be funny?!
This show is FAST losing credibility. Oh and the Sanjaya crap is SO over. It's really bringing down the show. No one seemed excited about it tonight.
I wouldn't be surprised if Tony Bennett dropped out because the show sucks now.

I can't believe I missed the first part of Crossing Jordan for that.
It's kind of like wanting to be a part of the collective audience when Ken Jennings met his match. I just want to be able to see Sanjaya finally hear the words, "You are the weakest link...Goodbye!" Or, well, whatever it is they say on AI.

I wish Sanjaya's hair is all shaved off, maybe he'll get less votes next time.

well...quite honestly, If i was Sanjaya and i was reading the amount of negative degrading press he's getting...I would at this point, bow out. He's made the top 10, so he's going to be on the Idol Tour...and there's no chance he can win. All he's doing now knocking out MUCH better singers.
I noticed at the end of the show, when the others came onto the stage to do the hug and kiss thing with Gina while she was singing, that he was at the very back of the group. Looked like he was there just for appearances. Somehow i get the feeling that when he DOES finally get booted, there won't be too many tears shed for him by the remaining contestants.

I have been dvring Idol since it is at a time when I am usually occupied with choir. Not sure i even am going to do that anymore. It really is starting to lose my interest.

I agree. He has managed to knock out some very good singers.

Yup, but unfortunately, I believe this is the last year for CJ. I'm gonna miss Bug and Lily.

FLASH: 'IDOL' RATINGS DOWN 7% FROM PREVIOUS WEEK... 16.7 RATING/26 SHARE FOR RESULTS SHOW SLIPS FROM 17.6/27...
The ratings fall continues(first season it's down). I don't think it's all Sanjaya's fault either. Overall this season is just very blah.

The saga of Sanjaya is the only entertainment they have on the show this . . . not even Paula's antics or Simon's clever reparteé can match it .. . It's looking like a repeat of Season 3.

Well, I have to say I did tear up with Gina going and how upset she was. It looks like the remaining contestants are kinda ostracizing Sanjayah.
My local radio station had a great statement. They said that Sanjayah was like a stinky shirt - it smells bad the first day you wear it but you kinda get used to it after a while.

I think the same thing. Votefortheworst.com and Howard Stern are the best things that could have happened to this season.
AI can only go on so long before people notice that it's not very good at producing singers who have careers that last beyond one song.

Aw, Gina left? I just KNEW she would win it this time.

I wasn't really a Gina fan, but it was sad watching her go. Haley and her are good friends, so I can't imagine the mixed feelings they both had waiting to hear their fate. You want to be safe, but you don't want your friend to go either.
I will say that everyone at this point has really worked their butts off to get where they are. The Top 12, 10, now 8 out of THOUSANDS of people.... now, that's something. We may not agree with all the choices who made the Top 24, but they should all be proud of themselves for getting that far.
I won't get into the Sanjaya thing, but I think he should have gone home a long time ago.

I may be mistaken, but hasn't Gina tried it on Idol before? This is maybe her second attempt? I do not remember her being on there before.
I read where they are bringing in a special song writer for the winner of Idol. He better have magic paper if Sanjaya wins.

I liked Gina - last week's "I'll Stand By You" was outstanding.
I didn't think that she'd make it to the top two, but certainly thought that she AND Chris would be there long after Sanjaya left.
I DO feel bad for Sanjaya because he's really a victim here. He doesn't have the talent (can carry a tune but...), should've NEVER been a part of the judge's final 32 and because he's young and cute, the young girls are out in full force, along with the conspirators to get him to win. All this is doing is showing the weakness of AI's voting system and perhaps show itself.
