Pet Peeves
I know there have been threads about this in the past, but we have new members now, and well, pet peeves change. lol
*Cars that go the same (slow) speed on 2 lane streets or highways. Why can't they go the same speed in single file? They usually leave a string of irritated drivers wanting to get around them. People in Beaumont must think the side-by-side thing is a traffic rule, because it happens all the time.
*Drivers who can't count to 3. I frequent a 3-way stop under an underpass. I am very careful to go in turn, but there are always people going right after the people in front of them, or 2nd, when it's not their turn. It's really not that hard...
*Liars & backstabbers. I've had the misfortune of knowing people like this. I have been too trusting in the past, but not anymore. I guess people like this are miserable themselves and it makes them feel better to lie about others.

*Floridian drivers that think the red light means go and the green light means read your book, talk on the phone, and do crosswords.
*People that do not know how to spell "a lot". There is a space!
*When you have to say something a million times because the person is not focusing on what I am saying.

Re: Pet Peeves
I hate that too. I can't stand it when people do not know how to go in turn at stop signs! Like you said, it is really not that hard..southerngale wrote:I know there have been threads about this in the past, but we have new members now, and well, pet peeves change. lol

*Drivers who wait to the last second to merge into a lane and then expect you to just stop and let them over like they own the world.
*FSU fans
*People that park in a handicap spot that aren't REALLY handicap
*People who will wait 5 minutes for the elevator to arrive instead of spending 30 seconds and taking the stairs to the next floor
*when the waiter or waitress interrupts: "is everything OK" and then, when I actually need them, they are nowhere to be seen.
*People with fake tans (seriously, you look like spongebob)
*When my cat hides under the computer desk and bites my feet while im sitting down
*People who chew gum loudly
*People who talk during movies, and ones who will not take their baby outside when it cries.
*Children running wild and screaming in the stores
Well that's all I can name off the top of my head lol

Non stop whistling (the whistle while you work thing drives me nuts).
Driving while you are putting on make up, shaving, eating etc.
Parents that think the schools should raise their children.
Irresponsible pet owners.
People that throw garbage out of car windows.
The folks that immediately slow down when they drive by the sheriff's station. (yup they are just gonna run right out and grab you)

People who believe everything they see on the Internet
Having foods for a certain recipe and someone eats one of the ingredients with out asking if it is needed for a recipe
Kids who run through the store knocking things down and not picking them up.
The City of St. Petersburg FL who ticketed a homeowner for having a brown lawn during the current water restrictions and drought.

Where do I start....
*People walking with snorkeling fins on
*Nails & Chalk Board (no explanation needed)
*People driving around to find a close up parking spot (when they are going to WALK all around the stores)
*Drivers who can't merge on I-110 coming out of Biloxi to D'Iberville/I-10 (they slow down because they think the Bridge is going to open up on them!)
*Procrastinators!
*People who ask the same questions OVER & OVER & OVER again!
*People who think they can do my job better than I can.

Far from being ticketed, the homeowner should have been commended for not wasting precious water on a silly cosmetic pursuit.
Nowadays we're way too hung up on how things look. Wanna guess how much perfectly nutritious fruit are tossed by supermarkets every day just because they don't look shiny and spotless?
