Okay I read that on the other thread and went ewwwwww.
Goobers around here means you snorted up some snot and spit it out your mouth. *dry heaves*

I have never put anything in my coke except some rum and lime.
My dad always salted the top of his can of beer, and I always wanted to taste it I thought it was so cool. lol.
I still get a hankering to salt a beer every now and then.

Never heard of it and not going to try it! LOL

Only thing I've heard of anyone putting anything in a Coke or Pepsi, is liquor. And oh well, possibly vanilla ice cream, when my kids would maybe substitute Coke or Pepsi for Root Beer, for a RB Float but maybe not. They'd probably make me run out for Root Beer!

Candy in Soda? Never, ever heard of this, before at all! he he

Finally, I have seen kids drink soda thru a licorice "straw" but that is a stretch. he he

GOOBERS are roasted whole peanuts covered with chocolate. They are made by Nestle and used to be sold in the movie theaters.

Yep - we used to put them in our cokes too.

I've heard about putting peanuts in your coke. What does it do? How does it change the flavor?

It the flavor of the chocolate, the crunch and salt of the nut and the fizz of the coke ----- all that together is realllllly good.

It's hard to explain, it's salty, it's sweet and it's makes it REALLY fizzy!! Use the skinned Cocktail peanuts, the peanuts with the skins on don't work too well!

Yeah, one of the teachers at school does that. However, she insists the cola has to be RC-- not Coke or Pepsi.

Dennis you have got it all wrong! It is peanuts with RC Cola, not Coke. And Yes I have done that with several RC Colas and peanuts.

We allways used the really salty peanuts in the little bags and put them directly in the COLD bottle of Coke, not the big old things in plasty you get now days, but the real glass bottle with a long neck...oh man! what memories!!!

And you can only hold a Barq's Root Beer by the neck of the bottle and it has to be iced cold and in real glass bottle with the ripples on the glass!!!!!!!

We do have some good stuff in the south, don't we :)

Now, if only I could find a Mallo-Cup or was it Malo-Cup.....chocolate outside and creamy white stuff in the middle, not marshmellow stuff, something else..good grief! They would put little cards on the bottom like Reese's used to and you could win a free Malo-Cup or MONEY (highest I think was 25 cents, but hey that bought you more Malo-Cups, right!). I haven't seen one of those in ages.

Mary

We could take a quarter to the "curb market" and buy a candy bar and a coke and be in heaven...boy that was a long time ago...rofl, showing my age here. (if we could talk somebody into buying some peanuts instead of a candy bar we would all share our candy and that person would share the peanuts to put in our cokes)
