Halloween

#1 Postby JonathanBelles » Mon Sep 03, 2007 11:43 am

Where will you go or do?

I am either going to Busch Gardens' Howloscream or Universal's Halloween haunted horror night. I still haven't decided which yet. My sister is deathly afraid of scary stuff, but she has agreed to go. Universal is going to be better, but I might start out small for her. Any thoughts?

I went to Universal a few years ago for Halloween...great time. I've also been on Bourbon Street in New Orleans Halloween night...great time. My favorite is Fantasy Fest down in Key West the week of Halloween.....MGC

What day of the week is Halloween this year?
But, I will be Trick or Treating with my kids. My oldest is 9, and I may let him go up and down the street with his friends.
But, it is kind of early. Usually, I waited until is started to get cold first.

The hubby and I put up stuff in the front yard, and give out candy for the trick and treaters. This year will be really cool, we are totally geekin' out and making our own tombstones (wait that doesnt sound right, we are not buying, forget about it  ) inflatables, tiki torches painted black to look like black Victorian lamp posts. This is really cool, looking like an old road to a cemetary. Trying not to be too creepy or scary. Little kids to consider.

Oh my, we are Halloween geeks.

Every year, my neighboors and I end up congragating to one house. So kids stop off at whatever driveway we are at and get candy from 5 houses. Unless there is a hurricane, this is the only time of the year that we talk for more than 2 minutes.

since it is a wednesday, im guaranteed to be at work. GRRRRR remember this year though, daylight saving time doesnt end til Sun Nov 4 (so this years halloween festivities should not get off til an hour later than traditionally in the past) since it wont get dark til an hour later.

so thats what will make this year's halloween a bit more different than all those other years.

I am going to Universal Studios next Friday!!!! I will be going the full 17 hours from 9am to 2am. Ill be going on all of the normal rides( that are open) and then attacking the Halloween Horror Nights attractions. Thats gonna be one long day. It will be at least 7am to 4-5a with the two hour driving time each way. This will be my first big halloween event. I'm happy!

Now that we are closer, what are your plans?
