New stuff in the Bryant case
ABC news is reporting that a bellman and co-worker of Bryant's accuser now says that he saw Bryant's accuser looking upset and disheveled after leaving Bryant's hotel room.

One is telling the truth and one is definitely lying!!! Sure hope justice is served one way or the other.
How about both of them are lying

NOW they are trying to make a racial issue out of it. Why am I not surprised.
One thing that baffles me is this guy that was waiting to pick her up and she told him that "Kobe forced me to have sex with him" But she waited until the next day to tell anyone else. Why was she not taken to the hospital right then? If I was forced into something I would run out screaming and head straight to the hospital. I am a female and I am certain that is the kind of reaction all of us would take after being raped!!!

Why on earth would a woman go to a man's room after he invited her? HELLO??? Did he invite her for tea?
I DO NOT MEAN TO IMPLY that because she went to his room, then she deserved being raped. No means no, but PLEASE have some common sense!?!
Like Marshall said, it will be tough to prove anything and whether we really do get "the real story" is a big unknown.

Whatever else this proves or disproves in the long haul, it once again dilutes the sanctity of marriage. Somehow it is ok once again (following Clinton's premise) to have consensual sex with other partners while being married.
Oh, I almost forgot.
"I did not have sexual relations with that woman!!!"
In my view adultery as a condition to a marriage will be on trial too.

I've been debating posting on this subject because I usually have a strong opinion, one way or another...but this case..I can't be so sure.
First off..I agree with Steph (did you hear that??)..that there is no way a woman should put herself in a position such as she did. This wasn't the dark parking garage rape scenario where the victim is surprised, yanked into a car, or shoved to the ground for the violent act. She's 19....NO virgin...she should know what COULD go on behind closed door's with a hollywood type, superstar athelete used to getting his own way.
On the other hand...I fully support a woman's right to say no. BUT.....once the balls rolling, hands are on the legs...knowing glances are being made (which I'm sure was happening well before the actual act), she in effect has given consent. The time to say NO, is not once you've gone to the room with a married man, and the door is closed.
And FORGET all this crap about his image. I'm so sick and tired of hearing what a good man Kobe Bryant is (or was).
You can rest assured....this is not the first time he has asked a pretty white woman up to his room to watch the Tonight Show.

I believe I heard it on a local Sports radio talk show.
My whole point was that why would you put yourself in that type of situation to begin with if you have the slightest feeling that you may be in a position that you don't want to be in. Kobe is no angel, but she was just dumb IF this is in fact what happened.

I hate to say this, but if this was not Kobe Bryant (or any other superstar or public figure), the accused would be serving his sentence already.
This is just my opinion, and I am sure that this will upset a few people, and that is not my intent.
I am also tired of hearing about what a great guy Kobe is.
