Cat cries besides his "lover"

#1 Postby wyq614 » Thu Jan 24, 2008 8:53 pm

Jan. 23, 2008
In a residential area of Fuzhou City, Fujian Province, China, the cat couple go out to play as usual at around 1 p.m., suddenly the female cat(brown) gets hit by a car and unfortunately dies immediately, the male cat rushes beside the female, touching her for some 10 minutes "trying to save her, just like mouth-to-mouth breathing", resident Mr.Chen says.

Half an hour later, the male cat, crazy, starts biting the female's tail, hoping to see her react, but failed. Realizing his lover has died, the male cat keeps crying by her corpse for more than an hour, not allowing anybody to approach.

"Cat may have the same sentiments as us human-beings" the crowd exclaim, and then people around the cat leave.

That's pretty remarkable, yet also sad. :(

Also, that picture's pretty graphic, you might want to replace it with a link.

Well, the links are all Chinese, I'm afraid that no one here but me could understand Chinese characters (Chacor may understand, I hope), so....I'm sorry.

Well, you could just link the image and put a note that it's graphic.

Okay, thanks. I just didn't want people to get startled by the subject matter, it's not often you see a picture like that in a thread here.

Yeah, I probably could read the article in its original form, but that's beside the point here. What a story.

Reading the article is just bad enough.

Even cats can mourn for their loved ones, human or their same species.

Thank you, wyq614, for sharing that story and providing the link.

I'm not going to look at the link because the picture will break my heart - I have 3 cats. The story is sad but heart-warming just the same. Very interesting.

I would advise not clicking on that link because the Symantec site advisor gave a level RED warning about spyware downloads

It would be far better if the image was just posted in the thread, despite the graphic nature

Odd, it didn't give me any issues.
