I was using the word 'postponed' because the AF flight (the 4th) that was planned to depart at 0430Z didn't fly. The latest TWO is saying 'AN AIR FORCE RESERVE HURRICANE HUNTER AIRCRAFT WILL BE INVESTIGATING ...' while originally a NOAA plane was scheduled for departure at 1300Z. We'll see.

http://www.ssd.noaa.gov/PS/TROP/positions.html

>>The latest sat images clearly show storms to the south and west rapping

 *cough*

Anyway, yes indeed. For all those who wrote this off after being repeatedly told that Friday was the day to look for a "system", well what can I say? Thing looks better and more consolidated today that ever though still unreconciled. Whether or not it gets classified, it still has become a system that will deliver some tropical storm conditions. Let's see howl long it's got over water.

Yea Steve looks detached from the the old front and really starting to have that tropical look about it.I think it will get the classification really probably by the 2pm if not sooner  might be fun these weak systems usually are.Kevin

CNN is showing footage of a tornado that struck Central Florida last night. Quite likely associated with 93L/Jerry.

hey all, first off I am safe but wow what a night...reminded me of Jeanne or Frances, we had crazy thunderstorms and high tropical storm gusts all night, camp is a mess, lots of branches down and stuff, there was a tornado confirmed in Eustis just a bit north of us, if I could tell people to knock it off with the crappy next and poof posts, this storm still packs a punch and if it is in your path, please pay attention to the watches and warnings, it is only going to get stronger and worse from here on out

Rain Hail High Winds.

Lots of energy last night here in NE Florida.

Expect more tornado warnings going up across the SE US. NWS JAX detected a lot of rotation in last nights feeder band.

No, because it is not certain that the storm is tropical or subtropical. Its not uncommon for an invest to have 30kt winds...gabby as an invest was at 40kts i think

Here is sarasota county we had some bands from this system run through around 1AM to 2:30Am. I woke as I headr the wind, then thunder then rained super heavy for 1 1/2 hours. I got up to check the weather on my PC. it was just a band of thunderstorms. Hmm. My weather radio never went off. Anyhow, it was nice sleeping through the wond and rain knowing that thats all it was. :D
