Quake hits inland Southern California
SAN DIEGO (AP) — A moderate earthquake has hit inland Southern California, and shaking could be felt from San Diego to Los Angeles.
The U.S. Geological Survey says the temblor was a 5.5-magnitude that struck just outside Ludlow on Interstate 40, about 120 miles east of Los Angeles.
There were no immediate reports of damage in San Diego along the coast or Joshua Tree in the desert where the quake was also felt.
San Diego County sheriff's Lt. Mike Munsey says he felt his building roll but not shake.
