Re: ATL:Tropical Storm Gustav between Cuba and Haiti-Model Runs
I guess we can expect a hook NE thanks to the trough coming in from west. I look for further shifts to east in the coming days. It's all about timing.

I've been calling for a NOLA hit, I'm afraid I may be correct.

5 days isn't 7....countdown is on i'm afraid and things wont change much inside 5-4-3...each run now is getting critical...no one is out of the proverbial woods....Isn't GFDL supposed to be the "golden" model of NHC?

GFDL
. This back and forth is only keeping the current NHC track relatively steady, although we're still 5 days out from landfall and Gustav still needs to break free of Haiti.

Yes yet they went against it 11Pm last night. I have hard time buying into any track when
a storm is this far out. JMHO

Looks to me that it takes a monster hurricane just to the west of N.O.

Let me spell it out for you.
The HWRF is saying that NO will be seeing a hurricane with nearly 200mph winds.
The GDFL is just as evil. It destroys La Habana with cat 5 winds.
I'm about set to freak out. Peeps better pray that Haiti, no matter how many people Gustav might have killed, did a good job of disrupting the circulation.

Prayers with everyone bro....IMHO don't think it's going to be that big of a monster but nasty enough.

I do have to admit its a bit worrying that models are hanging onto a storm of this intensity for two days now. Not the same model either. They might be seeing something, but arent conditions in the gulf supposed to be sheared a bit??
