I tend to believe it's more big and sloppy, like Frances's little sister. In any case, the winds in Orlando right now are gusting to 57 mph, which is pretty intense.

She's Charlie's twin sister. She just got all the slow genes in the family.

Its spelled Charley, and if you went through it you may beg to differ as well.

Yea...I saw that after you posted. I tried to be smooth and went back and changed the spelling.
Hats off to anyone that went through it..

Just checking in from the mandarin area of Jax. Winds at my place have been so so all day. Some pretty good gusts but nothing major. Nothing like Jeane or Frances up here. Rain total is in the 1 - 1.5 in range. Worst is supposedly yet to come. I'll check in again later if I get the chance.

Where is Fay centered now? I just came back in and saw TWC and they plotted the center way farther south than I thought earlier.

I think the west deniers have some xplainin to do. :cheesy:

Image

Admittedly the sat images, which are more reliable, seem to show a stalled system near the coast and if any motion it's west/nw.

Too my eyes.

I think it's about 10 miles NW of Daytona but it depends on who you want to believe

So is this thing actually moving or do the large bands wrapping around on the West side give the illusion of a W movement?

I can't believe how rough it was in Sanford today. The wind was howling and the rain was unbelievable. I wouldn't be surprised if where I work, right off Lake Monroe, we got over 10 inches. It was coming in the building where I work in various locations and never seemed to let up. We were caught in one of those training heavy storm bands. Had to send the courier out to buy a shop vac to try to salvage the carpet. I'm home now in south Orlando and the wind is gusting to 56 mph according to the NOAA site at the Executive Airport. WOW. Fay still packing quite a punch!! It does remind me of Frances or Jeanne, but actually wetter, at least up there in Sanford!
