If the pressure has gone up and its weakened forget it. This is nothing to worry about and this storm has a date on its foot.

However, I dont think Recon was at the center. So im not writing any obituary yet.

thats where you are mistaken.. pressure always fluctuate and systems only need 6 to 12 hours to intensify fast..

Your statements about Dolly were close to the same as were posted here....if I am not mistaken.

Pressures fluctuate in developing storms...

Yes they do fluctuate but honestly a 4 mb rise is a weakening trend. It will likely strengthen some by late morning but right now this system has really become kinda pathetic

It is possible once it moves into the safe area about 100-120 miles off the coast like Humberto, Dolly. But the overall gulf appears to be very hostile for development intil then.

well watch tonight for a burst of convection near the center as it continues to pull moisture and convection from the south and or gets pulled a little closer the bulk of the convection and the shear subsides .. it should be a completely different story in the morning..

im outta here ..

You're probably right, but right now the convection is only becoming more displaced from the center. Its only hope if it doesn't want to become a depression by the time shear lets up and it can strengthen by midday is either a center relocation or a slowdown in forward speed.

well boys and girls, I'm crashing for the night as well. looks like that we need eddy to slow down a wee bit, however I would not be suprised if we see a new circulation form or this one relocate itself into an area inside the convection.

SE texas, espically the costal areas that would be evacuated for a cat 1, better get things ready to head out tomorrow night.

see y'all after sunup.

I think he means to let the convection catch up with the LLC - it seems to be moving faster than the convection can wrap around it, though the radar signature is starting to look better and better.
