Texas has been impacted by two tropical cyclones in a span of 13 days. Dolly made landfall on July 23 and Edouard moves onshore on August 5.

The southern coast had a landfall, the northern coast had a landfall, and now the middle coast needs a landfall! :cheesy:
lol, just kidding.
Edouard actually looks kinda good coming on shore today. I was expecting to look at something worse looking.

>>I respect others opinions but some were downright abrasive. Rant over.

No doubt about that. I don't get it either, for what, so that someone can be the biggest weather weenie? It's not only the lay posters as there are one or two professionals who act like they have napoleanic complexes if you disagree with anything they say. Weird. I said on Saturday I liked the BAM solutions at the time - pretty close to what happened. Later I said I thought strengthening at landfall would be a possibility and said I liked the high TS/low Cat 1 solution. Then I challenged Frank2 with a: it would be stronger than it was at landfall and someone else that it would be tightening up and not weakening. People, pro or otherwise, don't often want to admit that amateurs like us don't always need charts at every level of the atmosphere to see what's right before our eyes. That's okay. I'm not looking for a giant Nerd Cap (beanie with a spinner), I'm here to talk weather. Hope everyone is okay in SW LA and SE TX and that you guys up toward San Antonio and Austin get a few inches out of this.

Thanks Steve ... we're hoping for the same, here in Austin. Our rainfall deficit is about 11 inches under normal and we're in extreme drought. Bring it on, Eddie!

Landfall happened earlier than expected... that's not good...

Well, we're getting nothing here in Pearland right now...

.5 mph winds, light rain...

I'm still awake over here, been up since 3:45...thinking my privacy fence is about to tumble down in between my neighbors house and mine...it's violently shaking.

Well CM,I think you will have to wait a while until all that bad weather clears the city.By looking at that radar above it looks like a few hours.
