No need for snitty remarks as I to think it is detached. Sanibel you are not alone. We all have opinions so lets respect them.....

It's getting better organized by the hour and is on its way to depression status.
This is not an official forecast and is the sole opinion of the poster.

Thanks for the question. If it remains in the ITCZ it will never reach depression status, but yes it will continue with the ITCZ low level flow from east to west.

Tomorrow we will all know either it will be part of the ITCZ or a depresion or tropical storm, its still getting its act together as we speak by the hour though.

You guys need to check out the other thread with the 00z GFS coming in. The big news is the due west track straight into the central Windward Islands.
This is really starting to look like a big problem for the Windwards. I don't think it's premature to say this given the Pro Met opinions on this, the steering currents, the NHC's red GTWO circle, and the GFS. Add that to the satellite presentation and you have to admit it is *potentially* a big problem for the islands.
The posts in this forum are NOT official forecast and should not be used as such. They are just the opinion of the poster and may or may not be backed by sound meteorological data. They are NOT endorsed by any professional institution or storm2k.org. For official information, please refer to the NHC and NWS products.

Re: ATL: INVEST 94L East of the Windward Islands
As far as I'm concerned this look very good and has a good chance of becoming a depression. But with strength it could be a Charley, Ivan, or it could be a Earl or Chris. I don't know.
I'm leaning toward the middle at this moment. Also the sst's are not nearly as powerful as 2004, 2005. But they could support something interesting still.
This post was made not to be offical and has nothing what so ever to do with the nhc, nws, or god. Please take it as just some friendly note to the people on storm2k~

Looking at those maps it shows that the "tchp" over the centeral Caribbean can only support 940 and cat3 winds. Most of the caribbean at its peak strenth(TCHP) can only support low to mid end cat4. 2004-2005 you had blues that can support cat5s in the western Part and the northern part.
Yes it can still support a powerful storm, but this is as low I think I've seen it in years.

IN August it will be all blues... but your right not the all powerful cat 5 but a cat 3 is still a major for a little island....

yeah, regardless of whether it can support a cat4-5 in the east caribbean, I dont think it will get there that fast, unless it pulls a Dean/Felix.
