Josephine (likely name for 99L) will be known as "The Long Tracker."

A STRONG TROPICAL WAVE LOCATED OVER THE FAR EASTERN ATLANTIC...A
COUPLE HUNDRED MILES SOUTHEAST OF THE CAPE VERDE ISLANDS...HAS
BECOME BETTER ORGANIZED AND A TROPICAL DEPRESSION COULD FORM LATER
TODAY OR TONIGHT. THIS SYSTEM IS FORECAST TO MOVE WESTWARD AT 15
TO 20 MPH.

Maybe Ike or even Josephine tonight?

The train is a rolling. Good gosh, I guess we're not out of the multi-decade active cycle.

I wouldn't be surprised if this were TD10 at 5pm. If not 5, then 11 as long as the convection hold that long (especially considering that would be near d-min wouldn't it?).

They will probably start advisories at 10.....but that thing is definitely a tropical depression now.

Loop certainly shows a developing cyclone.

Sadly, that map just shows that every single convective region in the Atlantic could feasibly become a TC in the next few days...this is almost beating the image from 1995 with 4 TCs in the basin.

Reminds me so much of the storm parade of 1995!

Anyway this really can't be all that far off from being a tropical depression now I'd have thought, wrapping up real nicely now, I think next time round we shall see Td10.

Shizza, I go for dinner for 20 minutes, and come back to ANOTHER tropical storm. Looks like we got ourselves a little parade/family going on.

I think we are just awaiting proof of a LLC, once thats found with Dvorak estimates of 1.5 we will probably see Td10, i suspect in the next 12-18hrs latest.

Except in 1995, most were recurves.
