Anybody think Tampa Bay is still in play. Looks like Fay has passed West of Naples now almost due South of Ft. MYers. Thoughts?

Haven't heard anything, though it was for rural areas, so we may not hear anything until later tonight or tomorrow.

Nope still east of Naples, the true circulation has only just crossed Key West so its further east...even though I admit radar does make it look like its rotating much further west.

Looks like its going to come close to Naples as well, may pass just west if it keeps up the NNW motion.

Call me crazy, but I think I saw a hint of slight NNE movement from this radar:

Here is a constantly updated image of Fort Myers Beach Florida aimed North towards Sanibel Island. This is about 2 miles northwest of Me.

Thanks, artist. Great camera view. If there is an eye wall you must be in it. Sunshine and broken clouds. Also, wind doesn't look all that bad.

its a good thing that she is moving ashore in the next 6-9 hours...shear has dropped off pretty good at the moment as she has moved just far enough away from the ULL to be protected from too much shear.. It's only some dry air intrusion that is keeping her from bombing out right now:

The apparent west movement is an illusion due to convection increasing to the west of the storm.

Look at the hish speed loops for a better view:

All my pets pretty normal. One is shaking and drooling, but that's normal when our afternoon storms flare up, and we have one just to our west right now. Birds pretty quiet today. Swallowtail butterfly larvae are happily munching away on the fennel and parsley in my garden, and don't seem very concerned at all.

do i see a bit of dry air creeping in from the SW to counter-clockwise to the east? i see it on water vapor and visible..and radar seems ot be drying up a bit on the east-northeast side...
