Canadian initializes it as an 850 mb vort max, but seems to start to rotate it around Hanna, and then loses it before it actually merges with Hanna. Not sure if it qualifies as TC cannibalism.


But, TD 9 will be where this started in six days per CMC.


GFS shows 850 mb vort max shearing apart between Hanna and 9L, with some of the vorticity ingested into each TC.


Interesting.
