Moderator: S2k Moderators
As I was sure would be the case, a few hours after got in from my return trip from Massachusetts, I left my number locks on after I restarted my computer and sure enough the "degree symbol" (and other charachters/symbols) appear when I use the "ALT+###" using the numbers on the right side of the keyboard.

Thank you, Marshall.
Figures I had to bring this issue up. It makes it seem like I had no clue why it didn't work. In any event, those that have the same problem may benefit from this thread.
I am so use to turning off the "green light" that indicates that "number locks" is on that I wasn't able to get those characters to work. * SIGH *
