Search issues

This may have been addressed already, but I just noticed it.

When I try to search it brings up page 1 of results. When I attempt to go to page 2 or beyond it just says, "No topics or posts met your search criteria."

Does anyone else have this problem?

A number of things can cause this error. One would be the phpbb software not being up to date (highly unlikely on S2K), another would be internal database issues (a slight possibility, considering the size of the forum)..but the most likely is the search engine itself. With such a large database, certain common words will get filtered out by the search function. As an example, try searching the word weather. You will get the error if you try to access page 2. Now, if you refine your search a little by using multiple words separated by AND, the search works fine. Try typing weather AND fact, and you'll be able to access page 2.

I have had that problem before too. I'm not sure what causes it, but it seems to only do it some of the time. I just tried a search and the results gave me many pages and I was able to get to all of the ones I tried.

Please try it again and let us know if it's working for you now. I'll also let Chad know about the glitch.
