I am trying to post a video from the storm I filmed last night, but the YT embed is not working for some reason

Use Youtube5 instead of youtube (you'll need to type it in. It's been a slow rollout from YT and some videos still use the old way while some use the new embed code. Changing the old link will break all the older embed's.
