When will everything return to normal around the site???

#1 Postby Wnghs2007 » Tue Sep 28, 2004 2:29 pm

When will we be able to have avatars and signatures again. And also will there ever be the ole friendly fun & games forum again. Like after the hurricane season is over and the site slows down some. Just asking. Because that was a very fun place. :)

Must confess -- I also look forward to avs and sigs again (Third Watch Bosco and Faith shipping alert!)

What say ye, admins? :)

Just for the heck of it, I'll test my sig pic. Probably too big, but I won't have the election stuff there after Nov. 2.

(Deleted now -- fun while it lasted. :) Gonna wait til they're allowed. )

I'd love to see the statistics mod come back. That is a useful thing. :)

It would be odd to bring all the Fun & Game forum thread/posts back. A handful of them were useful, most of them were quite frankly a waster of space.

They may have been Tom but they were really a way to get thru the winter season and they were enjoyble. As they say Quality beats Quanity but thoses were Quality because they were enjoyable and it was a way to relax and have fun. It may not be fun for you as a stats person to try to do percentages and stuff, but this to me was the best part of the site. And was a real let down to me when it was taken away. But anyway I thought I would just ask you guys thanks. :) 8-)

A bunch of words that have no ryhme or reason to be gone through are worth it. I guess so...

It isn't the calculations that I am talking about, it's the actual totals and percentages that are causing unbalanced results. It would be too much of a pain to discount them in the stats because they, if they return will be part of the site.

We were discussing when the "Statistics Page" would be back up and running.

I think the old "Fun & Games" forum was a waste of space. I enjoy the newer games forum with the Flash games. They are more enjoyable, and it is next to impossible to abuse the games to raise one's post count like a certain individual did.

Remember how we discussed on AIM that it wasn't working at all? It seemed to have been broken after the server transfer. I couldn't get it to work at all using the URL posted above. :(

The stats link works fine for me :-)

One thing I'm going to suggest if we bring back the old games is that posts in that forum won't count for rank. That should stop the abuse. :-)

Yes that is a very good idea Marshal. Keep up the great work. :D

Now we need a natural disaster forum. LOL. Like for When Mnt st. Helens or some other very bad natural disaster happens we can post about it.

The only way they won't count toward rank is if the database doesn't count them.
