The 'degree symbol'

#1 Postby ColdFront77 » Fri May 23, 2003 12:14 pm

I have brought this up before and didn't get much response...

When I type Alt+167 or any other 'code' to get the "degree symbol," (or any other character my homepage or other window I have maximizes, rather than the "degree symbol" (or any other character) being displayed. They work in my Notepad.

Does anyone else have this problem?

Thank you in advance.

Edited to omit the word "opens" in second paragraph

That sounds unusual Tom. I don't have any problem using it. Well, maybe I should try it just in case. º yep it works.
Good luck!

KOW, make sure you use the numbers on the calculator - right side of keyboard. The #'s in the row above the letters won't work.

Chad, this is Tom/ColdFront77, not cyc. :)

Yes, I know Donna, I am aware that these symbols only work using the "calculator keys" on the right hand side of the keyboard. I had no problems with it when I had AOL.

It really doesn't make any sense. I always have to copy and paste it from another place.

Hi Aaron. :)

If one doesn't work, none of them are going to work.

I use Alt + 504. °

Mine isn't doing that, either, Tom. I can see, though,
where having to copy and paste it, every time, could
get rather annoying!

I don't think it is possible for me to be the only one having this problem. :(
