Site errors this morning

I have received an

phpBB : Critical Error

Could not connect to the database

error this morning, as well as many slow page loads. Any explanation?

The phpbb: critical error is a host problem which means that our board software can't talk to the database. It's usually preceeded by a noticable slowdown. That's all I know for now. :-)

I did notice a sizable slowdown prior to that error appearing. It is still a tad slow but not as bad.

I kept getting Cannot Display Page. Big time slow
loading only to get that message.

I found out this afternoon that another site that's on the same server as us was causing the problems. :-(

Hopefully the hosting servive will take corrective measures like they promised :-)
