Unable to get into chat

Every time I try to get into chat it says unable to connect to server. :cry:

What is going on?

Usually thi smeans you need to reboot. It happens to me every now and then but rebooting always fixes it. :-)

Rock, when you type in your name drop the 1811 from your nick. You can change it once you are ito the room by typing "/nick therock1811". Just leave off the " " :-)

I tried accessing the chat room a few times today with just "ColdFront" opposed to "ColdFront77" and got the same error Joshua has been getting. I am in the chatroom using mIRC.

nope... in fact it doesn't recognize me as therock... tried that all day... what is a SocksHost:port???

There's a problem with the chat server right now. PIRCH and MIRC users can get in but not Java. :-(

They are working on it ....

You shouldn't have trouble with MIRC. If you can't get in try changing the server to heartsfire.stormdancing.net

In MIRC you have to edit the connection. Rock if you come up on AIM I will try and help you through it. My addy is mfdolphin56

I would download mIRC but it says it's only free for 30 days then you have to pay. When I went to download it (after Tom relayed a message to me that it works after the 30 days); my window closed for no reason. No pop-up killer was on at the time either. Odd IMO.

OK here's the scoop:

At this time it works on Java... but ONLY if you are logged in here, if not it will not do anything on Java, you'd need MIRC or PIRCH.
