I have been trying to get in the chatroom since last night and can't. I have Java. It will just freeze when I get in and won't go any further. It will say loading java and then just freeze. I can't type in my nick or anything! It is killing me not to get in and chat. Please help.

It sounds like a java problem on your end. Try using Internet Explorer and/or redownloading the latest version of Java from http://www.java.com
Finally, try downloading mIRC from http://www.mirc.com
After downloading it, select the Stormdancing network. After you log in, type /join #storm2k
This software has a 30-day trail. Afterwards, there is a $20 fee, although you can continue using the program after the trail expires without paying the fee.

I tried uploading the latest Java. And it says it was successfully uploaded on my computer, yet I still can't get in chat. It will just say Java applet uploading and just freeze. I also downloaded Mirc and can't get it to work either. Almost 2 whole days and I can't get into chat. Especially when it is so close to cane season, it is going to kill me.

What happens when you try to get in with mIRC? Problems with Java are pretty common, but once you're set up correctly with mIRC, it should work fine. Plus mIRC is 1000 times better!
Edit: I just tried to get in with Java and it's working fine. Perhaps it's something on your computer. Is anyone else having trouble getting in with Java?

Ya know thats what was happening to me and made me first discover that there was something going on with my computer. Come to find out I had an overheating problem in my pc. The internal fan took a dump and anything that put a load on the hard drive it would freeze. That is when I downloaded mIRC as well. I fixed my fan problem and its fine now. Also my virus and spyware scans would freeze. Is it freezing with anything else other than Java?
Just went into Java chat and it works fine for me as well.

Well, it just does not look like I will be able to chat anymore. Because I tried everything and it just not working. I downloaded Mirc and still I can't get into chat. I tried downloading the new java and nothing happens. After waiting about 15 minutes last night, just to upload, it let me in. But, all I could do was watch the others chat. It would not let me type anything.
