It won't let me upload an avatar..

Hmm.. I've tried several different images and ways and I always get this:

Why is that?

hmmm...I don't know. Maybe one of our "tech" guys will see this. In the meantime, can you send me the avatar and I'll see if I can get it in your profile for you?
