Having trouble viewing S2k with IE

#1 Postby Derek Ortt » Thu Mar 01, 2007 6:42 pm

I am unable at times to view s2k with IE. For example, I am at the office posting this in firefox, but my laptop using IE cannot view the site. At times it works while at others it does not

I think it is IE7 too. I may just uninstall it because I have the same trouble at times.

I am using IE7 and no problems here. Hmmm.
Is this the only site giving you trouble?

I'm having the same problem; using IE6 and XP. At times I can get on; other times I get "page cannot be displayed."

That's what I get, the normal "page cannot be displayed" message you get when you're trying to access a website that is down. It's been hit or miss for me.

Since the move there have been intermittent issues with our name resolution. That's what converts http://www.storm2k.org into an IP address. It appears that one of our 2 name servers is acting up . I will try and address this with Steve ASAP. If we're unable to resolve the issue I may move our DNS setup to another registrar like GoDaddy.

That explains the problems I'm having tonight, it took me 2 hours to get in, got the same message about the page being unavailable also.

I very often get a "page cannot be displayed" message. I tried something I should try ( a new link ), but it did not help. :(
