18z GFDL runs the wave feature of TD2 into Florida. Something to consider if GFDL hadn't yet picked up on development.

Agree.

and I'll be very surprised if this is not upgraded at 11.

oh it is ... its just semantics.. at this point..
by definition it never was not a depression .. since it had a closed circulation... on top of that winds are only defined as <35kts

She's deepening tonight, entering a lower shear environment, IMO think Ex#2 will be upgraded again at 11p or latest at 5a if deep convection holds....................

I'd be shocked if it wasn't. If anything this is looking better right now than it ever has.

Why not upgrade to tropical storm Ana - surely must be 40 mph by now.

well all of this activity should make some people giddy with excitement, wave going through sofla tonight, td2 making a decent rebound which is rather unusual then the big player next week

So true, and from what was said when it was turning into a TD, that's just what it would have done. But it didn't strengthen - barely survived - and avoided the fishing trip. Persistent, that it is.

Its Friday evening, and I should be relaxing, but I can't get the potential 1-2 punch TD2 and 90L could present to the Caribbean, and maybe Florida (unlikely that both would effect us though, right?) off my mind. I think both these systems will be upgraded tonight.

well according to the latest quickscat.. it only supports 30kts.. but those readings within the deep convection are contaminated and are likely higher than that .. minimal tropical storm strength is not out of the question..

I wouldn't be able to relax much if I lived in Plantation, FL. The City of Plantation, FL is one of our clients, by the way. After last year (Ike hit and no power for 2 weeks) I've seen enough hurricanes.
